this story continues with Baba Voss and his family facing new challenges after the events of Season 1. Baba’s brother, Edo Voss, is introduced as the main antagonist. Edo, a fearsome general in the Trivantian army, holds a deep grudge against Baba for abandoning him as a child. He captures Baba’s daughter, Haniwa, and takes her to the Trivantian city, setting the stage for a dramatic rescue mission.

Baba and his family, including his wife Maghra and son Kofun, set off to rescue Haniwa. Along the way, they face threats from both the Trivantians and the Witchfinders, who continue their crusade against sighted people. Maghra also has her own battles, as she confronts her sister, Queen Sibeth Kane, who rules the Payan kingdom with an iron fist. Tensions rise as Maghra, who has sighted children, tries to challenge her sister’s rule.

Baba eventually confronts Edo in a tense and emotional showdown, with themes of family loyalty and betrayal playing a central role. While Haniwa is rescued, the conflict with Edo and the Trivantian forces escalates, leaving Baba and his family in a dangerous position. The season explores the consequences of sighted people in a world where sight is both feared and coveted, leading to power struggles, political intrigue, and intense battles.

By the end of the season, the family dynamics shift as Kofun, Haniwa, and Baba all struggle with their roles in this divided world. Maghra, meanwhile, is forced to make difficult choices regarding the future of the Payan kingdom, particularly as Sibeth’s tyranny worsens. The season sets up further conflict and drama for Season 3, as the world around Baba and his family grows increasingly hostile.
