The Marvels  is a superhero film within the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU), functioning as both a sequel to Captain Marvel (2019) and an extension of the storyline from Disney+ series Ms. Marvel and WandaVision. Directed by Nia DaCosta, the movie brings together three powerful heroes—Carol Danvers (Captain Marvel), Kamala Khan (Ms. Marvel), and Monica Rambeau—each with their unique powers, personalities, and backgrounds, to tackle a threat much bigger than they could face alone. Carol Danvers, known as Captain Marvel, continues her mission in space after having reclaimed her powers and freed herself from Kree control. However, her sense of duty comes at a personal cost, as she often distances herself from people on Earth, focusing entirely on her role as a cosmic defender.Kamala Khan, a teenage superhero enthusiast from Jersey City, is a relatively new hero with shape-shifting powers. Introduced in Ms. Marvel, Kamala idolizes Carol Danvers and sees her as an inspiration. Kamala’s recent journey to discover her identity and heritage as Ms. Marvel adds a fresh perspective and energy to the team. Her youthful excitement, curiosity, and sense of adventure contrast Carol’s serious demeanor, bringing humor and relatability to their team dynamic.Monica Rambeau, introduced in WandaVision, was a young girl close to Carol before losing her mother, Maria, who was also Carol’s best friend. After an incident with Wanda Maximoff, Monica gains powers, enabling her to absorb and manipulate energy. Now working with S.W.O.R.D., she’s dedicated to protecting Earth from extraterrestrial threats, though she harbors some complex feelings toward Carol due to her long absence during Monica's childhood.

The story begins when a mysterious cosmic force suddenly entangles the powers of Carol, Kamala, and Monica, causing them to swap places whenever they attempt to use their abilities.
